The title sums it up. The film industry has been tanking here the last few years. Between the strikes and the dollar parity we had for a long while, things just went down, down, down. So I've given up on it and have headed north to stay with family. I need to re-evaluate things. I'm finally gonna sit my ass down and work on graphic arts as a goal rather than just a hobby. We'll see how it goes.. For now, sleep beckons....

Sigh.. long day for me today. up at dawn and won't get a chance to sleep 'til well after dawn tomorrow. That's the problem when working a night shift the day after working a day shift. But this is the end of it with this gig anyhow. Loose ends beckon after this week... sitting at home, twiddling thumbs and waiting to hear which gig comes up next for me. Nature of the biz.. Feast and famine. You're either working all hours or at home with more time on your hands than you know what to do with. We'll see if inspiration strikes this time and I get off my ass with the camera and see what I can find. For now, I've tweeked a shot I took of some pic

Well, it's, what, a bit after 8 in the morning. I've been up since 3:30 and it feels like it's gonna be a long, long day.... Nothing like working a 14 hour shift that starts at 6 in the morning. The only plus is seeing the long drawn faces of those you're coming in to relieve and knowing they've just had a long, long night of it. :) I know I haven't submitted much and what I have submitted has been mostly a hodge-podge of photographs taken ehre and there. But I plan/hope to get more posted. I've just been lacking in motivation lately. Maybe the change in season will prompt me to get off my fat ass and do something. We'll see. Hell, maybe I'
